What I love about the wine
Raventos i Blanc de Nit Rose might have elevated my Rosé drinking experience. It is also the first Rosé I have tried from Spain. I am still fairly new to drinking Rosé, and I have thrown out a few bottles based on smell alone. However, this particular bottle was really freaking good! The smell was light and I thought it drank more like a glass of fruit infused champagne than the other bottles of Rosé I have tried. It was pretty bubbly not as bubbly as a glass of champagne but you could certainly feel the sparkle. It felt expensive drinking it. I also liked that it was easy starting with it for appetizers, and then transitioning into a Pinot Noir for dinner. I didn’t really need to clean my palate in between bottles.
But how does it taste?
Raventos i Blanc de Nit Rosé, is full of grapes I have never heard of in my life. But I will certainly start to look for more bottle of wine with them in it. It reminded me of raspberries and green apples. It was minerally and slightly acidic. it was also pretty dry, certainly not sweet but very easy to drink.
