What I love about the wine
Nobilo Icon Sauvignon Blanc is a great for the price. It is a simple, crisp, sauv blanc that you can have on hand to satisfy any white wine drinker. In fact that is really why I purchased this bottle to begin with. I was heading to a pool party and knew there would be a lot of wine, and wine drinkers. I didn’t want to spend a fortune on a handful of bottles of wine so I went strictly on price point. It is a New Zealand wine so it really could not suck. I liked the label, it was clean and gave me the sense of a yacht club wine, so I gave a fair day in court. It did its job and guests kept asking me where I found it. To everyone’s surprise I said, “Surprisingly, on the lower shelves of the liquor store wine section.”
Nobilo Icon is pretty frequently sold out online in most states. It is also one of the wines that changes in price depending on your state. The most I have purchased a bottle for on wine.com is $17. I guess it frequently being sold out is good for its popularity, but a bad thing for wine lovers like us who are trying to ship it to random people in so many different states.
But how does it taste?
Nobilo Icon Sauvignon Blanc , is correct in it’s back label description when it states, “minerally”. So make sure you server it chilled and keep chilled. Otherwise since this is also a pretty dry wine, it will taste a little too acidic for some people. Keep it cold and a people will keep coming back for more.
