What I love about the wine

Albert Bichot Bourgogne Vieilles Vignes Chardonnay was a bottle of wine that excited me at first glance. I am a sucker for French Sauvignon Blanc, but this was my first time trying a French Chardonnay. I loved everything about it. I love the dark color that instantly made me think it would be creamy. I loved the smell that made me think of toasted oak and pear. If you’ve followed my blogs you know that I am not a fan of too much oak, but this bottle of wine had just enough oak. It was like they churned hints of oak into creamy butter and put it in a bottle. This was also the first bottle of Chardonnay that I noticed had so many fruit notes to it.

But how does it taste?

Albert Bichot Bourgogne Vieilles Vignes Chardonnay, is dry and bold but not acidic. It has a great array of flavors that all blend so well together. Hints of melon, apples, pears, warm vanilla, and oaky butter made this a very wonderful wine to enjoy over lunch.
